We had looked at Gravity Payments but chose First Data for their name. First Data considered us "high-risk" without looking at any of our supporting documentation or business history and denied our application less than a week before we were supposed to launch. It was a Saturday when that happened, and we had no idea what to do. Out of desperation, we called our Gravity Rep, who immediately picked up. He explained that because Gravity does its own underwriting they would be able to look at our business as a whole and get us approved. I only wish we had gone with them from the beginning.

From the moment we started talking to Gravity Payments we were amazed at the time they took to listen to our needs and understand our business. We sometimes work weekends and were equally surprised when our account manager responded to our questions on a Saturday night.

At previous processors we talked to people with important titles such as "Vice President Payment Processing" or "Director of Business Development", but these people never responded to us after we already signed up and had pressing concerns.

Gravity is friendly, transparent, and understands us better than anyone else.

I own a cafe and we have a high sales volume with low average sales ($3.50). We switched processors about 1.5 years ago because a sales man said he could save us on interchange fees. He didn't realize how many transactions we had per day and that our transaction fees were much higher than the interchange fees per month. We tried to work with him, but he was USELESS in figuring out why were were being charged more than he had quoted us in the beginning, and was patronizing and didn't really want to deal with me. There were many mistakes that were made for various reasons, and I spent so much time trying to figure this thing out.

I was at my wit's end when I decided to do a search for "fair credit card processors" and found Fee Fighters. Stella suggested I check out Gravity and right from the beginning Carrie was familiar with my issue of high volume/low average sale and got me the "coffee shop rate". My per trans fees with Gravity are much lower and that has saved me about $600 per month. I expect to save $7,000 for the year. That money goes directly to our bottom line.

I am thrilled to be with Gravity, and when I switched I received a hand written thank you note with a small thank you card and quote that I still keep on my board- "Those who are lifting the world upward and onward are those who encourage more than criticize". Wow, great prices, great service and compassion.

We had one merchant before Gravity that we used for two years. Carrie responded to my emails within the same business day. Our account was approved in a few days and we were setup with our gateway immediately.

We needed to integrate the credit card processor with our appraisal vendor and the tech support provided the information we needed promptly.

I also found it interesting that the CEO posts very informative answers on quora - a great Q&A site.

Gravity is definitely a well run company.

Every time I had an issue with our old processor, the customer service reps were rude, unhelpful, and completely unknowledgable. They are timely, conscientious, friendly and proactive about getting us the best service possible. They’ve really worked with us to get the right package of services specific to our needs. Our experience has been very, very positive; a significant improvement over the previous card processor. The basic service (consistent processing, standard reporting, etc.) has been fine, and the ad-hoc service (responsiveness to our questions, attentiveness to any issues we have, etc.) has been exceptionally good. Gravity’s pricing is good . . . when we reviewed quotes, Gravity came in a close second in terms of low-cost, but we were willing to select them because I perceived they would be better in terms of service. Our experience has been exactly that.

Having had a merchant account for 16 years, I've had my share of processors but Gravity is by far the best. They are proactive, know my concerns, and make sure everything gets taken care of. They are really great with technology and tech support.

They have been really really good. Proactive, know my concerns and get it taken care of. Has many POS systems and Gravity has been really good about keeping her in the loop. Local, good with technology support, and tech support
