[Case Study] Made in America Manufacturer Bearse Saves Money With FeeFighters

 

Tom Auer is owner of Bearse Manufacturing, a Made in America supplier of sewn goods to both the government and private sector. Recently, more of his customers were interested in paying by credit card.

He picked a credit card processor but soon knew something fishy was going on when he couldn’t understand charges on his statement. Here’s Tom’s story:

I’m Tom Auer, Bearse USA. We are a third generation family operated industrial sewing company, specializing in made in USA product, specifically pouches, cases, a body armor, anything that a soldier might wear or help them carry equipment.

That’s our specialty, so about five years ago we started to have a bunch of customers coming to us hoping to pay with credit cards, and so we implemented with a bank processing company that we really didn’t know much about. We would get our bill every month and I would look it over with fine detail and I couldn’t figure out why we are paying a certain percentage.
